On June 5, a fatal traffic accident occurred in the Solomyanskyi District of Kyiv, resulting in the death of 12-year-old Hryhorii Hlushych. The tragedy took place on the last day of school. The boy had just finished sixth grade. Law enforcement is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
“Friends, we are in deep mourning. Grisha Glushich has died. He died yesterday in a terrible accident. The family of our community—the family of Oleksandra, Oleksiy, and Alisa—has lost a child. This is a pain for all of us. This year, Grisha graduated from the sixth grade at our school,” stated the Kyiv Waldorf School “Sofia.”
According to the parents of his classmates, that day was his last day of school.
“He was a good kid. He was responsible and quite mature for his age. He was planning to transfer to another high school with a math focus,” the mother of one of his classmates told hromadske.
His classmate Ivan also spoke about Grigory: “He has an older sister. His dad is at war. And he dreamed of becoming a programmer. He was actively preparing for the entrance exam (to the physics and mathematics high school), completing all the assignments…”
