Budanov stated that the return of all Ukrainian prisoners of war remains a priority

On the fourth anniversary of the tragedy in Olenivka, Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, stated that the return of all Ukrainian prisoners of war and civilians from Russian captivity remains an unconditional priority for the state.

According to him, Ukraine is working every day to secure the release of its citizens and will continue the fight until all captives return home.

Budanov also emphasized that the tragedy in Olenivka, where Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed, remains one of the most egregious war crimes committed by Russia during the full-scale war. He stressed that Ukraine remembers every victim and is seeking to bring those responsible to justice.
