A meteorologist explained when a cold snap will hit Ukraine

The hot weather in Ukraine will continue for a few more days, but by early July, temperatures will begin to gradually drop.

The heat is expected to ease on July 2 in the western regions, while a noticeable drop in temperatures is forecast for July 3–4 across the rest of Ukraine.

The heat will continue for a while longer, with relief expected on July 2 in the western regions and on July 3–4 across the rest of Ukraine,” noted Natalka Didenko.

The meteorologist also reported that on June 30, the highest temperatures are expected in the west of the country, where the air will warm up to +33...+38 degrees.

In the south and central regions, temperatures are forecast to reach +30...+35 degrees, and in the north, +30...+34 degrees. The most comfortable temperatures will remain in eastern Ukraine, where thermometers will read +26...+29 degrees.

Amid the abnormal heat, doctors are reminding people of the need to follow safety guidelines. Family physician and Candidate of Medical Sciences Ihor Zastavnyi recommends drinking still water regularly, based on the body’s individual needs rather than on general guidelines.

For additional cooling, the specialist advises adding ice to water and washing your face and head more often with cool water.

The doctor also debunked a common myth about the dangers of wet hair in hot weather.

Wet hair does not cause colds—viral infections are not related to drafts, emphasized Igor Zastavny.

Separately, the doctor warned parents against a common mistake made during walks with children. You should not cover a baby stroller with a cloth, as this significantly impairs air circulation and can create dangerous conditions for the child.

Experts recommend avoiding direct sunlight between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., wearing hats, and light-colored, lightweight clothing.

To keep your home cool, they advise keeping windows and curtains closed during the day, as well as using a simple method to lower the room temperature: placing containers of ice in front of a fan, which will help cool the air.

Forecasters predict that by the end of the week, the heat will begin to subside in most regions of Ukraine, and temperatures will return to more comfortable levels.

This was reported by renowned meteorologist Natalka Didenko.

On Tuesday, June 30, hot weather will persist in Ukraine, although brief showers and variable cloud cover are possible in some regions.

On June 30, Ukraine will be hit by extreme heat, with temperatures reaching +38°C.
