A memorial called “Fire of Hope,” dedicated to Ukrainian prisoners of war and citizens missing in action, has been erected at the intersection of Kyiv-Myrotska Street and Nove Shose in Bucha.

The monument is intended to serve as a symbol of shared hope and a constant reminder of the people whose return is awaited by their families, the community, and the entire country.

For Bucha, this monument holds a personal and deeply painful significance, as the city has directly faced the realities of war, when contact with loved ones could be severed in an instant. The city council emphasized that this memorial symbolizes society’s primary duty—to never stop speaking out for those who remain in captivity or are considered missing in action.

This was reported by the press service of the Bucha City Council.

Nursultan Mussagaleev, a former combatant in the war against Ukraine whom Ukrainian law enforcement suspects of involvement in the killings of civilians in Bucha, took second place in the “United Russia” party primaries in the Orenburg region.

Following inspections in May, the two largest payment terminal networks—EasyPay (LLC “FC ‘Kontraktovy Dom’”) and City24 (LLC “Swift Garant”)—were hit with massive fines: 135 million hryvnias each.
