Syrsky honored the developers of Ukraine's first guided aerial bomb

Ukrainian experts have developed the country’s first domestically produced guided aerial bomb, which is fully ready for combat use in accordance with the demands of modern warfare. 

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine General Oleksandr Syrskyi awarded honorary badges to military personnel, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, and the defense industry who designed modern guidance and correction modules.

New technologies transform conventional aviation munitions into high-precision weapons. This will allow Ukrainian pilots to deliver effective strikes against enemy targets while remaining outside the range of Russian air defense systems. The award ceremony was attended by heads of relevant innovation and research institutes, as well as representatives of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Brigadier General Andriy Lebedenko, emphasized that the combination of military experience and engineering genius made it possible to create effective weapons in a short time. The meeting noted that domestically produced modules provide a technological advantage on the battlefield. The creation of such weapons is an important step in the development of Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.

A member of the Brave1 defense cluster has created the first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb (GAB), which has already successfully passed all necessary tests and is fully ready for combat use on the front lines. 

Ukraine is already producing its own long-range weapons, which are more effective than the limited number of TAURUS missiles that Germany could provide.
