In May 2026, customs revenue to the state budget reached 68.9 billion hryvnias. This is 24%—or 13.3 billion hryvnias—more than during the same period last year.

According to the State Customs Service, the import of petroleum products generated the most revenue for the budget. Customs duties from their import amounted to 20.6 billion UAH.

Passenger cars took second place, generating 6 billion UAH in revenue. Natural gas and petroleum gases also made the list of the largest sources of customs duties, contributing 1.7 billion UAH.

Smartphones and other telephone devices took fourth place. Their import brought 1.1 billion UAH to the state budget.

The top ten goods with the highest customs revenue also included:

• motor vehicles — 966 million UAH;
• electricity — 913 million UAH;
• computers and data processing equipment — 731 million UAH;
• spare parts for vehicles — 690 million UAH;
• tractors — 630 million UAH;

Despite a 3.2% decrease in the physical volume of imports, the value of imported goods in dollar terms increased by 18.5%. The tax burden per kilogram of imported goods also increased by nearly a quarter.
