A court has ordered the arrest of one of the suspects accused of planting drugs on former commander Magura Shirshin
The court ordered that military servicemember T. V. Aliyev be held in custody until November 8, with the option of posting bail in the amount of 14.976 million hryvnias. He is one of three suspects in the case involving the organization of a provocation and the planting of narcotics in the car of Oleksandr Shyrshyn, the former commander of the Magura Battalion of the 47th Brigade.
The hearing was held in closed session at the request of the suspect’s attorneys due to the presence of state secrets and information regarding the deployment of a military unit in the case file.
The defense insisted on releasing Aliyev on his own recognizance, citing his title of Hero of Ukraine and the political undertones of the case, while the prosecutor requested an open hearing. The day before, on September 9, the State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) and the National Police exposed three former law enforcement officers—now servicemen in a separate assault regiment—who were involved in planting substances on the former commander.

The State Bureau of Investigation (DBR) announced the exposure of three former police officers suspected of planting drugs on Oleksandr Shyrshyn, the former commander of the 47th Mechanized Brigade “Magura.” According to the investigation, the men followed the soldier, broke into his car, and left drugs and psychotropic substances there, after which they reported the incident to law enforcement. The detainees have been notified of the charges against them, and investigators will also examine the actions of the police officers and military personnel from the Special Police Forces who were involved in the incident.
The court ruled that Syrsky’s decision regarding Shyrshyn was unlawful.
