Court Considers Pre-Trial Restrictions for Patrol Officer Following Terrorist Attack in Kyiv
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has begun a hearing to determine a preventive measure for a patrol officer. He has been notified of charges of inaction during a terrorist attack in the Holosiivskyi district of the capital.

Present in the courtroom are the patrol officer with his defense attorney and representatives of the prosecution.
Earlier, the State Bureau of Investigations stated that investigators had filed a motion to impose a preventive measure on the defendants in this case in the form of detention.
The judge presiding over the case is Svitlana Hrechana.
According to Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko, the patrol crew, which arrived at the scene of a reported shooting while carrying service firearms and having all legal grounds for their use, effectively fled the scene.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko stated that the 44-year-old female patrol officer was hired through a competitive selection process by the Patrol Police Department in 2015, as part of the first recruitment drive. She worked at the headquarters of the Patrol Police Department.
The second patrol officer is 27 years old; he graduated from the Patrol Police Academy and began his service in early 2024.
