Warm weather with thunderstorms and rain—what will the weather be like on July 26?
On Sunday, July 26, warm summer weather will continue across Ukraine, but some regions will experience brief showers accompanied by thunderstorms. The heaviest precipitation is expected in the east of the country, in the Azov region, and in Crimea.
Daytime temperatures will rise to +29 degrees. Most regions will see no significant precipitation, and forecasters predict dry and warm weather in Kyiv.
On July 26, Ukraine will see variable cloud cover. In the eastern regions, as well as in some parts of the Azov region and Crimea, brief showers and thunderstorms are possible. In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, forecasters are warning of significant rainfall.
In the rest of the country, the day will mostly be rain-free. Gusty winds are possible in some areas during thunderstorms, so residents of regions with unstable weather are advised to be cautious when outdoors.
What will the temperature be?
Nighttime temperatures in Ukraine will be comfortable for summer—ranging from +11 to +16 degrees. During the day, temperatures will rise to +24…+29 degrees. It will be coolest in the eastern regions, where temperatures are expected to reach +20…+25 degrees.
The weather in the Carpathians will remain significantly cooler. Nighttime temperatures there will be around +5…+10 degrees, and daytime temperatures will rise to +17…+22 degrees. Overall, forecasters predict a moderately warm day without extreme heat.
Winds will be moderate
In most regions of Ukraine, a northwesterly wind is forecast at a speed of 5–10 meters per second. In the west of the country, the wind will be from the southwest. Forecasters do not expect strong gusts, but conditions may change more rapidly during thunderstorms.
Weather in Kyiv
In the capital, partly cloudy skies are expected on July 26, but no precipitation is forecast. The wind will be from the northwest, blowing at 5–10 meters per second.
Temperatures in Kyiv will range from +14 to +16 degrees at night, and will warm up to +26 to +28 degrees during the day. In the Kyiv region, temperatures will vary slightly more—ranging from +11 to +16 degrees at night and from +24 to +29 degrees during the day.
Summer weather continues
Despite isolated showers and thunderstorms, warm summer weather continues to prevail in Ukraine. In most regions, the day will be comfortable for walks and outdoor recreation. At the same time, residents of the eastern regions should be prepared for the possibility of heavier rainfall and thunderstorms.
