Centrenergo has a new CEO
There has been a reshuffle in the senior management of the state-owned energy company PJSC "Centrenergo." Following a decision by the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the supervisory board,
Yevhen Harkavyi is stepping down as acting CEO, and Serhiy Isachenko has been appointed as the new head.
The management change is linked to the start of preparations for the upcoming heating season.
The company’s press service emphasized that responsibility for preparing for and navigating the 2026/2027 heating season now falls entirely within the purview of the new leadership.
Yevhen Harkavyi has led the company since June 2025 and is leaving the position with significant financial achievements.
Under his leadership, the company emerged from default for the first time in a long while and stopped accumulating critical debts.
In particular, Centrenergo managed to pay off UAH 3 billion in liabilities from previous periods.
As of May 11, 2026, the company’s financial condition remains stable—its accounts show 3.6 billion hryvnias in available funds.
The payment of dividends was a significant step for the state budget. For the first time in the last eight years, the company transferred UAH 1.2 billion to the state.
This was made possible by a record net profit for 2025, which amounted to over 4 billion UAH.
According to the YouControl analytical system, Serhiy Isachenko has already been officially registered as the new head of PJSC “Centrenergo.”
His primary task will be not only to prepare for winter but also to continue the course toward restoring damaged capacity.
