In Bila Tserkva, a law teacher was detained on suspicion of sexually abusing a 14-year-old student

In Bila Tserkva, law enforcement officers detained a 29-year-old law teacher suspected of committing sexual acts against a 14-year-old student and possessing child pornography.

According to the investigation, the man worked at the school where the girl was a student and also lived in the neighborhood. Law enforcement officials claim that he was in a relationship with the minor and knew that she was only 14 years old. The prosecutor’s office emphasized that individuals under the age of 16 cannot give legally valid consent to sexual acts.

During a search of the suspect’s residence, investigators seized a cell phone which, according to law enforcement, contained child pornography.

The man was notified of the charges against him under articles concerning sexual acts with a person under the age of 16, as well as the possession of child pornography. The court ordered him to be held in pretrial detention.
