"Belarus has no desire to go to war against Ukraine," says Bulba, founder of the "White Legion"

"Belarus has no desire to go to war against Ukraine," says Bulba, founder of the "White Legion"

Belarus has no desire to go to war against Ukraine, and there is no motivation among the security forces to participate in combat operations.

This was stated by Sergei Bulba, founder of the Belarusian patriotic organization “White Legion,” on the “Kyiv 24” channel.

“No one wants to get dragged into a war. Belarusians have no motivation. That’s the point, you see?” Bulba emphasized.

According to him, it was precisely because of the Belarusian military’s unwillingness to fight that Russia was unable to drag Belarus into a full-scale war against Ukraine in 2022.

Bulba claims that Russian leadership received information about an “unspoken consensus” within the Belarusian army, according to which the military categorically did not want to participate in combat operations against Ukraine.

“There is an unspoken consensus within the Belarusian army that Belarusians are absolutely unwilling to fight, especially against Ukraine, the activist noted.

At the same time, he is convinced that in 2022, the Kremlin could still have pressured Minsk into joining the war, but now it is much more difficult to implement such a scenario.

According to Bulba, modern warfare—with the widespread use of drones and new technologies—significantly complicates the possibility of forcibly dragging Belarus into combat operations.

Belarus has reported alleged numerous attempts to strike border infrastructure using drones from Ukraine. This was stated by Alexander Volfovich, State Secretary of the Belarusian Security Council, during a meeting of the CSTO Security Councils Secretaries Committee in Moscow.

Belarus reported 116 attempted attacks from Ukraine over the course of a week.

Earlier, on March 26, the U.S. lifted sanctions against the Belarusian Ministry of Finance, the Development Bank, and the company “Belaruskali,” as well as a number of affiliated entities.

Recall that Lukashenkoannounced a “major deal” with the U.S. at Trump’s suggestion.
