A police officer was found dead in Chernihiv
The body of a police officer with a gunshot wound was found in a wooded area in Chernihiv.
This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional Police.
According to preliminary data, it appears to be a suicide.
Law enforcement officials noted that the report of the body’s discovery came in during the day, after which the relevant services arrived at the scene.
Investigators from the State Bureau of Investigations will look into the circumstances of the tragedy.
The police also expressed their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.
