A city hall employee was beaten to death in Dnipro

Late in the evening on August 9, passersby discovered the body of Yegor Khudyakov, a 30-year-old official with the Housing Department of the Dnipro City Council. Law enforcement officers and medical personnel arrived at the scene and determined that the man had died a violent death as a result of his injuries.

According to the investigation, the cause of death was a conflict with a group of strangers that escalated into a fight. Police have already detained a 24-year-old local resident and charged him under Part 2 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily injury resulting in death), which carries a sentence of 7 to 10 years in prison. Information regarding the second person involved in the conflict is currently being verified by law enforcement. Yegor Khudyakov was buried on August 12.
