There will no longer be trolleybuses in Kherson

Starting today, May 4, public transportation in Kherson has been suspended. Local authorities made the decision due to the deteriorating security situation in the city.

The sad news was announced by Yaroslav Shanko, head of the Kherson City Council, on Telegram.

“Due to the deteriorating security situation in the area where the trolleybus fleet is stationed, public transit services in the city have been temporarily suspended. Trolleybuses will not be running for approximately one week—from today until May 10. Please take this information into account when traveling around the city,” he wrote.

As a reminder, the village of Inzhenerne in the Kherson region came under massive drone attacks. There are injured residents and damaged residential buildings.

On April 16, power outages once again occurred in Kherson and Mykolaiv. The causes of the outages are currently being investigated.

On the morning of March 4, Russia shelled Kherson again. A 76-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man were killed in the attack.
