In Khmelnytskyi, a businessman was selling "transfers" to the rear to military personnel
In Khmelnytskyi, law enforcement officials exposed a businessman who promised military personnel, in exchange for money, to help them transfer to rear units.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigations.
According to the investigation, SBI officers, in cooperation with the National Police, caught the businessman “red-handed” while he was receiving an illegal benefit.
The SBI stated: “In exchange for money, he offered to facilitate transfers to rear units, specifically to units of the Military Law Enforcement Service. The businessman cited friendly relations with a member of the leadership of the Khmelnytskyi Military Law Enforcement Service.”
As law enforcement established, a military serviceman who had a hand injury and wanted to be transferred closer to home helped expose the scheme. He met the businessman while vacationing at a hotel complex owned by the suspect.
The businessman demanded $5,000 for his “services.”

Law enforcement officers detained the suspect while he was receiving $4,000.
He was notified of the charges under Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine—receiving an unlawful benefit for influencing the decision-making of a person authorized to perform state functions, combined with extortion.
The court imposed a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of bail.
The State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) also reported that, as part of the pre-trial investigation, the possible involvement of officials from the Military Law Enforcement Service of Khmelnytskyi Oblast in this scheme is being examined.
Previously, based on materials from the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), State Bureau of Investigations (DBR) officers completed a pre-trial investigation into a law enforcement officer who, in exchange for money, promised to help citizens find employment with subsequent exemption from mobilization. The indictment has been sent to court.
As a reminder, the DBR detained military personnel for embezzling over 47 million hryvnias worth of FPV drones.
The DBR also detained an officer of the Kyiv Territorial Recruitment Center for torturing conscripts.
