In the Dnipro District of Kyiv, a 29-year-old man opened fire on an acquaintance during an altercation. The victim sustained injuries to his chest and leg and was hospitalized. The assailant was detained and faces up to 8 years in prison.

Law enforcement officials determined that the two acquaintances were drinking alcohol in the Dnipro district when an argument broke out between them shortly thereafter.

“Unable to control his emotions, the 29-year-old suspect fired his weapon twice at his friend, wounding him in the chest and leg. The 30-year-old victim was hospitalized and is currently in serious condition at the hospital,” police reported.

Police tracked down and arrested the suspect.

During the investigation, they seized the suspected weapon used in the crime—a revolver chambered for Flobert cartridges.

The SBU has notified a Russian intelligence officer, who was recruiting teenagers for sabotage operations, that he is a suspect.

As a reminder, the SBU detained a woman suspected of working for Russian intelligence services.

The SBU has also uncovered new schemes to evade mobilization throughout Ukraine.
