A gang that included a police officer and produced amphetamine worth millions of hryvnias is set to stand trial in Kyiv
Law enforcement authorities have filed an indictment against 12 members of a criminal organization that established large-scale production and distribution of psychotropic substances in the Kyiv region.
This was reported by the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office.
The criminals organized a network of drug labs that generated millions in profits each month from the sale of amphetamine.
The drug dealers set up underground labs in ordinary apartments and garages in the Desnianskyi and Sviatoshynskyi districts of Kyiv, as well as in a private house in the region.
The capacity of these labs allowed for the production of about 10 kg of amphetamine per month, generating revenue of approximately 3 million hryvnias.

The criminal group operated for an extended period—from June 2024 to April 2025.
A large-scale special operation to apprehend nine active members was carried out in April of last year, and by early January 2026, law enforcement had identified three more accomplices.

A distinctive feature of this gang was the presence of an informant within law enforcement. Among the accused is a police officer who helped the criminals evade responsibility and move freely around the city.
Using his official position, the police officer warned his accomplices in advance about planned searches and other investigative actions.
In addition, he passed on secret passwords to the criminals, which allowed them to transport drugs during curfew hours.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office charges the group members with the illegal manufacture, storage, and distribution of psychotropic substances as part of a criminal organization.
Currently, all suspects are awaiting the court’s verdict, which will determine the degree of guilt for each of them.
