KYIV CAR FEST Vol. 7: WHEELS MASTERS, a festival celebrating wheels as a distinct automotive culture, will take place in Kyiv
On May 16 and 17, KYIV CAR FEST Vol. 7: WHEELS MASTERS will take place at the Retroville shopping mall in Kyiv. The seventh festival of automotive culture will focus on wheels as an element that defines a car’s style, influences its character, and blends design with engineering.
It is the wheels that often change the perception of a car, set its visual rhythm, and determine whether it looks understated, aggressive, classic, or iconic. The festival will demonstrate how changing wheels gives rise to a new style, how materials create different sensations of form, weight, and dynamics, and why this topic has long transcended purely technical discourse.
“For us, KYIV CAR FEST has long been much more than just a car festival. It is a space where people, experience, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and shared values come together. We see that car culture in Ukraine gives people a sense of belonging, creates new connections, partnerships, and meaning. It is important to us that the festival has not only an entertainment component but also a social one, serving as a place for open interaction, support, family leisure, and cultural dialogue. “That is why we are developing KYIV CAR FEST as an event that shapes the environment, rather than simply gathering beautiful cars in one place,” says Mykhailo Soprano, founder of KYIV CAR FEST.
KYIV CAR FEST Vol. 7 will bring together automotive communities, brands, clubs, wheel specialists, as well as owners of original projects, custom cars, and unique solutions. The program features exhibitions of various types of wheels, ranging from classic steel and aluminum to ultra-lightweight magnesium and carbon fiber. Visitors will be able to see them up close, compare designs, feel the difference in weight, and better understand how material and form influence a car’s appearance and perception.
A separate section of the festival will be dedicated to technologies and engineering solutions. Guests will learn the differences between stamped, cast, and forged wheels, how two- and three-piece designs work, and why brands like Work, Rays, Advan, BBS, OZ Racing, and Rotiform hold a special status in global automotive culture.
An important part of the program will be a discussion of the styles that shape entire trends within car communities. From the retro aesthetics of American Muscle with its signature Cragar SS and BBS RS Classic to multi-spoke sports models like the OZ Ultraleggera and Enkei RPF1, from classic designs to aggressive Deep Dish, the festival will demonstrate how wheels give a car its distinct identity.
KYIV CAR FEST Vol.7 will also feature original works, custom cars, handcrafted parts, and projects created based on personal vision rather than templates. A separate area will showcase cars from various installments of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, which have become recognizable symbols of mainstream automotive culture.
The organizers are also preparing a wide-ranging festival program for diverse audiences. The event grounds will feature themed zones, a design Art Point, photo zones, interactive areas, live music performances, and activities for children. The festival will also showcase various categories of cars, from American and European classics to modified projects and sports cars.
Experts will speak at the event, sharing practical knowledge, experience, and insights on the development of wheel culture, the engineering features of various designs, and the role of this component in shaping a car’s image.
