A face-to-face meeting between Zelenskyy and Poroshenko took place in Kyiv

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukraine’s fifth president, Petro Poroshenko, held a face-to-face meeting. According to Poroshenko, the two agreed to maintain regular dialogue and discuss key challenges facing the country. The meeting took place against the backdrop of the war and the need for coordination among government institutions.

An informally significant political meeting took place in Kyiv, which drew attention due to the very fact of a direct conversation between incumbent President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the fifth President of Ukraine, leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, as such face-to-face communication between them is rare.

Petro Poroshenko was the first to announce the meeting on his Facebook page, emphasizing that the initiative for the dialogue came from his political party and was supported during the conciliation council, after which it was implemented at the presidential level. “Finally, for the first time in many years, our face-to-face meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy took place. It was initiated by ‘European Solidarity’ at the conciliation council, and it is important that the president listened to us,” Poroshenko noted.

According to him, the conversation focused on the need to strengthen cooperation between the presidential administration and parliament, as in the context of a full-scale war, any internal political disagreements must give way to joint decisions for the defense of the country and the stability of state institutions.

Poroshenko also emphasized that dialogue between political actors must become regular, as Ukraine is in a state of prolonged military conflict that requires coordinated action at all levels of government, and that is why the parties reportedly agreed on further meetings in a similar format.

People’s Deputy and leader of “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko became the owner of a 2021 Volvo S90 2.0 T8 and a 2001 King Trailers GTS443-17.5 semi-trailer. Previously, these vehicles belonged to his wife, Maryna Poroshenko.

As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko made an emotional statement in the Verkhovna Rada.

Former President and Member of Parliament of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko submitted his electronic declaration for 2025. He reported a significant gift for his wife, Maryna.

As a reminder, MP Petro Poroshenko declared over 450 million hryvnias in income from securities transactions in just a month and a half—at the end of December and in January. This refers to profits from bonds and shares of foreign companies, declared as income from abroad.
