A Georgian citizen has been detained in Kyiv on suspicion of a double homicide at a car repair shop
In the capital, law enforcement officers detained a 34-year-old Georgian national suspected of murdering two acquaintances following a dispute at a car repair shop.
According to the investigation, the incident occurred in the Desnianskyi district of Kyiv. A dispute arose between a service station employee and two men over the repair of the car belonging to the wife of one of the victims.
Investigators determined that the conflict took place in a garage bay that was being used as a service station. As a result, the suspect opened fire on the two men. One of them died at the scene from his injuries; the other was hospitalized but died the following day in the hospital.
The victims were Georgian citizens aged 51 and 36.

After the crime, the man disposed of the weapon and his clothes, then fled the scene. He was soon apprehended by law enforcement officers.
The prosecutor’s office noted that all participants in the incident are Georgian citizens. According to the investigation, one of the deceased had previously been involved in cases of apartment burglaries.

Law enforcement is currently establishing all the circumstances and motives behind the conflict. The seized weapon has been sent for forensic analysis.
The suspect faces 10 to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
