In Lviv, a court ordered the arrest of an engineer in a child pornography case
In Lviv, a court imposed a preventive measure on a 48-year-old chief engineer at a construction company who is suspected of recruiting minors to produce child pornography. Pursuant to the court’s decision, the man was taken into custody without the possibility of bail.
According to the investigation, the suspect used social media to find young children, gain their trust, and persuade them to create pornographic material. Depending on the situation, he would either pretend to be their peer or immediately reveal that he was significantly older.
Law enforcement officials determined that between April and May 2026, the man recruited two girls aged 9 and 11.
Investigators also believe that the suspect stored the received material on his phone and forwarded it to at least six people, receiving similar content in return.
The man has been notified of charges under articles related to the sexual exploitation and recruitment of minors, as well as the possession and distribution of child pornography. The pretrial investigation is ongoing.
This was reported by the Lviv Regional Prosecutor’s Office.
