On the morning of August 11, a dangerous object resembling a hand grenade was found in the inter-floor electrical panel of one of the residential buildings in Mykolaiv. An employee of the power utility company, who had come to replace a meter, reported the discovery to law enforcement.
An investigative team and bomb disposal experts arrived
at the scene. Police evacuated the building’s residents and cordoned off the danger zone, and after an examination, the bomb disposal experts confirmed that the object was a live grenade and posed a threat to people. The munition has now been seized, and law enforcement officials are determining its origin and the identity of the person who left it there.
