The deadline has passed for MP Stollar to post a 300 million hryvnia bail on his own behalf
People's Deputy Vadym Stolar failed to pay the 300 million hryvnia bail within the time limit set by the court. As a result, the prosecution has the legal right to file a motion to replace the preventive measure with a more severe one.
Earlier, on September 11, an investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court imposed a bail condition on the lawmaker as part of the “Themis” special operation. According to the investigation, the politician is implicated in the creation of a criminal organization, the hostile takeover of two companies worth 248 million hryvnias, and an attempt to illegally seize real estate valued at over 207 million hryvnias.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a pretrial measure on Vadym Stolar, a member of parliament and a defendant in the “Themis” case. The court set bail at 300 million hryvnias. According to investigators, Stolar, together with former MP Maksym Mykytas, led a criminal organization. Its members are accused of planning raider takeovers of companies and buildings in Kyiv, hacking into state registries, and bribing law enforcement officials and judges.
Incidentally, the High Anti-Corruption Court is determining a preventive measure for former People’s Deputy Maksym Mykytas in a new case brought by NABU and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
