There was a major outage on Privat24
Ukraine's largest state-owned bank has encountered serious technical difficulties, resulting in a complete shutdown of the Privat24 mobile app.
Bank customers across the country are complaining en masse about being unable to log in or perform any financial transactions.
The first reports of service issues began appearing today, May 11, around 11:30 a.m.
Users note that the system does not allow them to log into their personal accounts, effectively paralyzing access to their own accounts and payments.
Most customers see only a loading error message when they try to log in.
“Operation error. Please try again later”—this is the message displayed on smartphone screens instead of the bank’s usual interface.
In addition to standard delays, some users are encountering a critical error with code 502.
This indicates problems at the bank’s server level, which are unable to properly process requests coming from client applications.
Oleg Serga, the financial institution’s press secretary, officially commented on the situation, confirming the presence of internal technical issues.
He assured that specialists are already working to restore the system’s functionality on an emergency basis.
“We are working to resolve a temporary technical glitch with authorization and login to Privat24. We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience caused by this situation,” the spokesperson said in a statement to the media.
