The Verkhovna Rada rescheduled Question Time with the government for October 12
Question Time with the government in parliament has been rescheduled for October 12. This decision was made following a meeting of the Coordination Council of Parliamentary Factions and Groups, which took place on Friday.
“Following the results of today’s meeting of the Coordination Council of Parliamentary Factions and Groups, Question Time for the government has been rescheduled for October 12,” according to a statement released by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Telegram.
In particular, during the meeting, parliamentary leadership and representatives of parliamentary factions and groups heard from Ukraine’s Minister of Education and Science Andriy Butenko, who provided information on how schools will operate during various air raid alerts. Specifically, the discussion focused on the procedures for students and teachers during “yellow” and “red” danger levels.
“During the meeting of the Coordination Council, a wide range of issues related to the organization of the educational process and ensuring appropriate conditions for students and teachers were raised,” the ministry emphasized.
As previously reported, members of the “European Solidarity” faction announced the cancellation of Question Time with the government, which was scheduled to take place in the Verkhovna Rada on September 18, and claimed that no one had warned them about this, nor about the three-week break in the parliament’s plenary sessions.
At the same time, Yaroslav Zheleznyak, a lawmaker from the “Voice” faction, noted that the Question Time session with the government, scheduled for Friday, had been canceled, and lawmakers were only informed of this that morning. According to him, the reason given for the cancellation was “important international events.” Referring to this situation, the lawmaker remarked: “The lawmakers were only told this morning… That’s all there is to know about respect for the Rada and the lawmakers’ respect for themselves.”
He also noted that the session was organized in such a way that some ministers arrived at the Verkhovna Rada for the question period with the government, which had already been canceled.

The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed a new deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Earlier, Zelenskyy appointed a new acting head of the State Border Guard Service.
Prior to that, Zelenskyy awarded Stefanchuk the highest diplomatic rank.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also dismissed Andriy Kuzmenko from the post of Ukraine’s ambassador to Qatar. The head of state signed the corresponding decree on August 25, 2026.
