A 16-year-old girl died in Ternopil following a routine surgery
In Ternopil, police are investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl who died following a routine surgery.
The teenager was admitted to the hospital on August 19 and underwent surgery. She was discharged five days later, but on the night of August 25, she began to feel ill. She was rushed back to the hospital and underwent a second surgery.
On the night of August 27, the patient’s condition deteriorated sharply, and she died.
The police have opened a criminal investigation and are reviewing the actions of the medical staff at every stage of her care.
