Ukraine Could Double Drone Production Thanks to an EU Loan — Zelenskyy
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that financial support from the European Union will enable a significant increase in weapons production, particularly that of interceptor drones.
CNN reports this.
According to the president, Ukraine’s defense capabilities are currently limited due to a lack of funding.
He noted that the country is already producing about 1,000 interceptor drones per day, but has the potential to double that figure to 2,000.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the EU loan of 90 billion euros is critically important for realizing this potential and strengthening defense.
“This is a matter of our lives and survival,” he emphasized.
He also added that Ukraine is capable of producing more weapons than current financial resources allow.
Following the Russian attack, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he had instructed the Air Force commander to contact partners who had previously promised to provide missiles for the Patriot systems.
Zelenskyyannounced the news regarding the missiles for the Patriot systems following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General.
