Ukraine announces delegation for negotiations in Geneva

Ukraine has finalised the composition of its delegation for the next round of negotiations with the United States and Russia. The meeting is scheduled for February 17–18 in Geneva. The delegation includes representatives from military leadership, the Office of the President, and the Parliament, according to Rustem Umerov.

He stated that the negotiations will take place in a “Ukraine–USA–Russia” format and will continue diplomatic efforts to find solutions for ending the war. Ukraine will be represented by: Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Serhiy Kyslytsia, First Deputy Head of the Office of the President, Dmytro Arakhamia, Head of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People”, Vadym Skibitsky, Deputy Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense

According to Umerov, the delegation was formed to cover all key areas of the negotiations. “The team was created taking into account the military, political, and security aspects of the process,” he said.

The minister emphasized that the main task of the Ukrainian side is to work on concrete solutions. “We will focus on practical decisions within the framework defined by the Head of State. The goal remains unchanged – a sustainable and lasting peace,” Umerov stated.

The negotiations will take place in Geneva, which has traditionally served as a key platform for international diplomacy. High-level meetings between countries on complex security issues are regularly held there.

It is expected that during the talks, the parties will discuss the security situation, possible mechanisms to cease hostilities, and other important issues related to Russia’s war against Ukraine. The formation of the delegation and confirmation of the meeting date demonstrate that Ukraine continues diplomatic work with its partners to achieve a just and lasting peace.
