Ukraine plans to produce air defense systems with its partners — Zelenskyy
Ukraine plans to manufacture air defense systems in collaboration with its partners and is exploring ways to strengthen its ballistic missile defense capabilities.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in a video address.
According to him, work with partners on air defense continues daily at both the political and military levels. Ukraine aims to create conditions for the joint production of air defense systems, missiles, and other components.
The president also noted that the war in Iran poses risks to arms supplies to Ukraine.
He added that contacts with partners—including Germany, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, and Sweden—are aimed at maintaining Ukraine’s resilience in the coming months.
Zelenskyy emphasized that the release of the European aid package will provide additional funding, particularly for defense.
The president also announced Ukraine’s participation in international coordination regarding security in the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing that the security of maritime routes is a global issue.
Zelenskyy announced news regarding missiles for the Patriot system following a conversation with the NATO Secretary General.
Prior to this, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked his Bulgarian partners for this decision and noted that it will help Ukraine strengthen its air defense system ahead of the upcoming heating season.
