Ukraine and Ireland may cooperate under a drone deal
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine has proposed a format for cooperation with Ireland within the framework of the “drone deal” initiative. According to him, Kyiv hopes that Dublin will view the possibilities for future collaboration and the development of a partnership in the field of defense technologies favorably.
“We are proposing a ‘drone deal’ and the relevant technologies. This provides an opportunity to establish direct and effective cooperation between our enterprises and companies, and we firmly believe that Ireland will view such opportunities for future cooperation favorably,” Zelenskyy said at a press conference with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Dublin.

Irelandhas assumed the presidency of the Council of the EU.
As a reminder, Ireland advocates for increasing sanctions pressure on Russia and supports steps aimed at achieving lasting peace in Ukraine.
The Irish government is developing a new strategy to support Ukrainian refugees, which fundamentally changes the mechanism for providing financial assistance.
