Ukraine has resumed negotiations with Serbia on a free trade zone — ambassador

Ukraine has resumed negotiations with Serbia on the establishment of a free trade zone.

This was announced by Ukraine’s Ambassador to Serbia, Oleksandr Lytvynenko.

According to him, the current level of trade between the countries is low, so the creation of a free trade area could significantly revitalize economic relations.

He noted that both countries are moving toward European integration, which makes such agreements relevant.

Among the promising areas of cooperation, the diplomat cited mechanical engineering, particularly the production of agricultural machinery.

He also considers the development of cultural and economic ties promising, particularly the sale of Ukrainian handicrafts and souvenirs.

At the same time, Litvinenko emphasized that the process should be developed gradually, particularly by strengthening Ukraine’s informational presence in Serbia and through cultural exchanges.

Serbia’s military and security agency officially stated that there is no evidence of Ukraine’s involvement in the planning of an explosion on a strategic gas pipeline leading to Hungary.

Serbia stated that a migrant was supposed to blow up the pipeline using explosives from the U.S.
