"Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" has entered into a partnership with the manufacturer of Taurus missiles
Ukrainian Armored Vehicles and MBDA, a European leader in complex weapons systems, have signed a Memorandum of Strategic Partnership.
The document was signed on June 10 on the sidelines of the ILA Berlin international exhibition in Germany. The agreement was signed by Vladislav Belbas, CEO of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles LLC, and Thomas Gottschild, Vice President of Strategy and Future Development at MBDA and Managing Director of MBDA in Germany.
The partners have identified the development of defense capabilities in the areas of Deep Strike (long-range strikes) and countering unmanned aerial vehicles as initial priority areas for joint work. The parties plan to exchange technological expertise, develop joint production programs, and implement innovative solutions designed to provide operational superiority on the battlefield in high-intensity conflicts. In addition, this collaboration is intended to serve as a solid foundation for the future establishment of a joint venture.
MBDA is committed to actively supporting the Ukrainian defense industry and making a significant contribution to ensuring Ukraine’s technological and manufacturing autonomy. As noted by Vladislav Belbas, head of Ukrainian Armored Vehicles, this partnership is a historic step toward strengthening the country’s defense capabilities and building a new European security architecture that will combine the Western company’s deep expertise with the real combat experience of Ukrainian weapons manufacturers. MBDA is a leading developer of missile systems, with a portfolio that includes more than 45 types of precision-guided munitions, including the Patriot, Meteor, Taurus, Storm Shadow/SCALP, and Enforcer missiles.
This was reported in an official press release from the MBDA defense group.
On March 25, 2026, during a speech in the Bundestag, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced that he no longer considers it appropriate to transfer Taurus long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine.
Ukrainian weapons are more effective than the TAURUS — Merz.
