Ukrainian banks may begin automatically deducting debts from accounts in October
Ukraine plans to expand the practice of automatically collecting debts from citizens’ bank accounts. In October, the government hopes to reach an agreement on this with all of the country’s banks.
Currently, automatic debt collection under such agreements is possible only through state-owned banks.
This was announced by Justice Minister Denys Maslov on the “Yedyni Novyny” news program.
The NBU has imposed sanctions on three financial companies.
As a reminder, the NBU is investigating banks in connection with the collateral related to Galushchenko.
According to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak, during the hearing of the case against Sense Bank Chairman Oleksiy Stupak, prosecutors also revealed a series of conversations which, according to the investigation, confirm the origin of these funds.
