Ukrainian developers will receive new grants for military technology

The Brave1 Defense Innovation Cluster has updated its grant program for Ukrainian defense tech developers. From now on, the maximum funding amount for a single project will be up to 8 million hryvnias.

The new grants cover promising areas, including exoskeletons, lightweight torpedoes, active protection systems (APS), and other defense technologies. In collaboration with the Ukrainian Armed Forces, experts have identified 53 priority technology areas across nine sectors that require further development.

A special program, BraveTech EU, is being launched for breakthrough technologies, with priorities including the development of exoskeletons, evacuation drones, active protection systems, high-velocity weapons, lightweight torpedoes, and anti-bunker munitions.

In total, more than 40 technological priorities have been identified for the BraveTech EU program. Under this program, developers can receive up to 8 million hryvnias regardless of the technology’s initial stage of development, and the funding is intended to result in a fully functional prototype.

The main updated grant program provides financial support ranging from 500,000 to 8 million hryvnias. The exact amount allocated to each developer will depend on the technology’s stage of development.

Developers can receive financial and expert support at various stages—from the initial validation of an idea to the creation of a finished product and its testing.
