Rain and squalls are expected across Ukraine: weather forecast for June 7
On Sunday, June 7, a sharp deterioration in weather conditions is expected across most of Ukraine, with thunderstorms, hail, and strong gusts of wind.
Forecasters have issued a Level I hazard warning due to the approach of a powerful atmospheric front, which will bypass only the eastern regions of the country.
According to experts, most regions will see moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms. During the day, hail and gusty winds with speeds of 15–20 meters per second are forecast in some areas.
At the same time, the weather situation will be most severe in the Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, where prolonged and heavy rains are expected.
Despite the heavy precipitation, air temperatures across the country will not drop significantly. At night, temperatures will rise to 13–18°C, while in the western regions it will be slightly cooler—from 10 to 15°C.
During the day, temperatures will reach a comfortable 24–29°, while in the western regions, as well as in Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, and Odesa regions, it will be cooler—ranging from 20–25°.
Meteorologists are paying particular attention to the weather forecast for the capital and the Kyiv region, where inclement weather could cause infrastructure problems. Significant rain, thunderstorms, and in some places hail and squalls are expected today in Kyiv and surrounding areas.
Temperatures in the region will range from 13–18° at night and 20–25° during the day, while in Kyiv itself, temperatures are forecast to be 16–18° at night and 21–23° during the day.
