Ukrzaliznytsia has resumed direct service between Dnipro and Kharkiv

Ukrzaliznytsia has resumed direct service between Dnipro and Kharkiv

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching a new regional train, No. 854/853, and resuming direct rail service between Dnipro and Kharkiv

The new route will begin operating on June 19 of this year, allowing passengers to travel quickly between two major regional centers in Ukraine.

The railway authority has redesigned this route to ensure maximum comfort for passengers.

Passengers will be able to make a round trip within a single day, which is extremely convenient for conducting business or attending to personal matters.

The actual travel time between the terminal stations will be approximately four hours.

The company provided a detailed explanation of the main benefits of introducing this rail service.

“We are improving connections between Ukraine’s regional centers and bringing back this important route in a new format. From now on, you can travel from Dnipro to Kharkiv and back on the new regional train No. 854/853 Dnipro–Kharkiv–Dnipro. A four-hour trip from Dnipro to Kharkiv, a few hours to run your errands, and a return trip on the same day—the advantages are obvious,” the statement reads.

According to the official schedule, Train No. 854 will depart from Dnipro at 08:17 and arrive in Kharkiv at 12:29. In the opposite direction, Train No. 853 will depart from Kharkiv on the same day at 15:30.

Arrival at the terminal station in Dnipro is scheduled for 19:41, allowing passengers to return home before curfew begins.

To ensure maximum coverage of passenger traffic, the carrier has scheduled stops at key stations in the region. Ticket sales for these trips are now fully available through the company’s digital services.

Passengers can select convenient seats and plan their trip in advance.

This was officially announced by the Ukrzaliznytsia press service.
