Ukrzaliznytsia has launched an electronic card for free train travel for employees
Ukrzaliznytsia has transitioned its corporate benefits for employees to a digital format. The “Railway Employee Card” has been added to the mobile app for employees, allowing them to quickly verify their eligibility for free travel.
How does the service work?
The electronic card is generated automatically based on the employee’s data and their department’s collective bargaining agreement. The document appears on the employee’s smartphone and confirms their eligibility for free travel.
Employees of participating departments can book up to 60 trips per month without submitting paper applications or obtaining certificates.
Implementation Phases
Connection to the service occurs sequentially as amendments to collective bargaining agreements with labor unions are signed. Currently, the electronic card is available to employees of the following divisions: Southern Railway; Dnipro Railway; Southwestern Railway; and certain branches of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia.”
More than 60,000 employees already have access to the system. For the remaining regional branches and divisions, connection is scheduled within two weeks after the completion of the approval procedures.
How to Use
To take advantage of discounted travel, follow these steps:
Open the UZ “Assistant” app;
complete the authorization process upon your first login;
go to the “Railroad Employee Card” section;
activate your trip before you start traveling.
In the future, the service plans to add new features based on suggestions from employees.

Ukrzaliznytsia is launching new regional trains between Kyiv and Korosten.
As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia signed a contract with PJSC “Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works” for the manufacture of 92 new passenger cars. Of the ordered rolling stock, 83 units are compartment cars that can be operated in both compartment and SV (standard) configurations, while the remaining nine will be equipped with barrier-free compartments. Deliveries under this contract will take place between 2027 and 2028.
Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the route of three trains passing through Stryi.
