Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the routes of a number of trains due to restrictions in the Kyiv region
On July 6, Ukrzaliznytsia temporarily adjusted the routes of certain passenger trains due to traffic restrictions on several sections of the railway in the Kyiv region. The changes also affected commuter service in the Fastiv direction.
The company reported that the traffic restrictions were imposed by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine for safety reasons.
“On certain sections of the railway in the Kyiv region, the State Emergency Service has restricted train traffic for safety reasons. Consequently, we are utilizing backup detour routes,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.
The changes affect the following trains:
- No. 93 Kharkiv – Kholm;
- No. 134 Kamianets-Podilskyi – Kyiv;
- No. 94 Kholm – Kharkiv;
- No. 43 Dnipro – Ivano-Frankivsk;
- No. 104 Lviv – Lozova.
The carrier emphasized that despite the route changes, all key stops for these trains will remain the same. At the same time, due to the detour, passengers should be prepared for delays. Up-to-date information on train arrival and departure times can be tracked through Ukrzaliznytsia’s official services. Additionally, due to the restrictions in place, commuter train service toward Fastiv is currently disrupted.
To ensure passenger transportation, Ukrzaliznytsia, in cooperation with the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, is organizing a shuttle bus service between Boyarka and Kyiv. The company noted that it will provide separate updates on any further changes to commuter train schedules through official channels.
As a reminder, seven people were killed as a result of a massive strike on Kyiv.
Earlier, Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a new massive strike.
We also recall that the Russians last launched a massive attack on Ukraine on the night of July 2. At that time, Russian forces launched 496 UAVs of various types and 74 missiles—air-, ground-, and sea-based—of various types at Ukraine.
