Ukrzaliznytsia has changed the schedule for commuter trains to Kyiv due to the Russian attack

Due to damage to the railway infrastructure caused by an overnight enemy attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region, Ukrzaliznytsia has made changes to the commuter train schedule for August 20. The adjustments apply to trains heading toward the capital.

Today, August 20, the following trains will operate on a modified route:

  • No. 6903 and No. 6905 Nizhyn – Bobryk (instead of Nizhyn – Kyiv);
  • No. 6902 and No. 6906 Bobryk – Nizhyn (instead of Kyiv – Nizhyn).

In particular, the following regional trains will also have their routes changed:

  • No. 893 Konotop – Bobryk (instead of Konotop – Kyiv);
  • No. 894 Bobryk – Nizhyn (instead of Kyiv – Nizhyn).

Also, the following routes will not be able to operate today:

  • No. 6909 and No. 6911 Nizhyn – Kyiv-Volynskyi;
  • No. 6910 Kyiv-Volynskyi – Nizhyn.

“We sincerely apologize for the changes to the schedule and any inconvenience caused. We are working to restore service on this route. At the same time, please be advised that changes may occur on other sections throughout the day, as well as delays in commuter train service for safety reasons. If a train is delayed due to an air raid alert, do not wait for it to arrive on the platform; instead, stay in a safe place. Train service will resume only after the air threat has passed,” the company emphasized.

Earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia explained the safety rules to passengers during an air raid alert.

A Russian drone attacked a passenger train near Sumy.

Also, in the Kharkiv region, a Russian drone struck a commuter train, resulting in injuries.
