The government has extended the program to support medical personnel in the combat zone through the end of 2026
The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the support program for medical facilities and personnel working in areas of active combat operations and in frontline communities through the end of 2026.
This was announced by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
According to her, medical facilities providing specialized care in areas of active combat operations will continue to receive additional monthly funding to build their payroll fund. Previously, the program was set to end on June 30, 2026.
The government is also continuing to provide increased funding to primary care facilities—they will receive 20% more funds for each patient declaration. Support for emergency medical care has been strengthened separately.
In addition, the government has expanded the program of one-time payments for young doctors. From now on, targeted assistance in the amount of 200,000 UAH will be available to internship graduates who have secured employment at medical facilities in areas of potential combat operations.
The payment will be provided to medical professionals who have completed their residency at state higher education institutions and have signed an employment contract for at least three years with state or municipal medical facilities in communities where there is a shortage of doctors.
Previously, the program applied only to graduates who began working in areas of active combat operations or in rural areas.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has prepared amendments to the rules for reserving conscripts, which provide for an increase in the minimum wage threshold for obtaining a deferment to 26,000 hryvnias. The rules for reserving part-time workers and the criteria for determining the criticality of enterprises are also being changed.
The Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police have dismantled a draft evasion scheme in Zakarpattia involving the fraudulent issuance of fictitious deferments.
