The dollar hits a new record high; exchange rates as of June 5
As of June 5, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rate of the hryvnia against the euro at 51.67 UAH/EUR. At the same time, the dollar-to-hryvnia exchange rate was set at 44.38 UAH/USD, marking a 3-kopeck depreciation of the Ukrainian currency. This set a new all-time high, as the previous record was recorded on June 4 at 44.35 UAH/USD.
The hryvnia also weakened against the euro: the official exchange rate for the European currency on Friday was set at 51.67 hryvnia per euro, meaning the Ukrainian currency lost 14 kopecks.
On Ukraine’s interbank currency market, by 4:00 p.m., the hryvnia’s exchange rate against the dollar stood at 44.39/44.42 UAH/USD, and against the euro at 51.69/51.70 UAH/EUR.

Exchange rates as of June 4: the dollar, euro, and zloty have depreciated.
Prior to this, the National Bank of Ukraine set the official exchange rates for June 3, 2026. Compared to the previous day, the U.S. dollar, the euro, and the Polish zloty showed an increase against the hryvnia.
The day before, the NBU published the hryvnia exchange rates against foreign currencies for June 3. The dollar officially rose by 3 kopecks, and the euro by 7 kopecks.
The National Bank of Ukraine set the official hryvnia exchange rate against the US dollar on June 2 at 44.3023 UAH per dollar, marking a new historic low for the Ukrainian currency.
Prior to this, the NBU had set the official exchange rate for the dollar at 44.26 UAH and for the euro at 51.55 UAH as of June 1, 2026.
