The government will begin making additional payments to workers on repair and restoration crews

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the start of funding for additional cash payments for March to members of emergency response and restoration teams. Nearly 14,000 specialists who are directly involved in mitigating the effects of enemy attacks on the country’s critical infrastructure will receive this special financial assistance.

The head of the Ministry of Economy announced this in her official Telegram post.

This tranche marks the final stage of the government’s support program, which the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine introduced during the period of crisis in the fuel and energy sector. The amount of the one-time cash assistance is twenty thousand hryvnias per person. The minister assured that similar payments for January and February of this year have already been fully funded and have been transferred to citizens’ accounts in full.

Financial support from the state will be provided to representatives of various civilian professions who ensure the country’s vital functions during the crisis. The list of recipients includes power line workers, gas workers, railway workers, as well as specialists from municipal utilities and water supply companies. Yulia Svyrydenko expressed her deep gratitude to all emergency response workers for their courage and selfless work during an extremely difficult winter period, emphasizing that thanks to their efforts, the aggressor’s attempts to plunge the country into darkness have completely failed.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allocated 192 million hryvnias for additional payments to over 9,600 energy workers who were involved in restoring facilities following Russian shelling in March
