Government dismisses management of UDP and USPA
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development announced the start of an overhaul of the management system of key state-owned maritime and river transport enterprises, according to a statement on the ministry’s Telegram channel.
“The Ministry of Development has begun a planned update of management teams and systems in key state-owned enterprises in the maritime and inland water transport sector. The first steps were the dismissal of the management of the Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company (UDP) and the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA),” the statement said.
The supervisory board has already approved the resignation of the head of PJSC Ukrainian Danube Shipping Company. The ministry is opening a transparent competition for this position and is also initiating the formation of a supervisory board at the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.
The ministry noted that similar changes will soon affect other transport sectors, including rail, aviation, and logistics.
Separately, following a night attack by Russian troops on the port of Izmail, gas pumping equipment on board a civilian vessel flying the Turkish flag caught fire. An operational headquarters and units of the State Emergency Service, including teams with robotic complexes, are working at the scene to eliminate the consequences.
