The government dismissed Lesya Karnaukh, acting head of the Tax Service
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has terminated Lesya Karnaukh’s powers as acting head of the State Tax Service.
The head of government instructed the Minister of Finance to prepare and submit to the next Cabinet meeting candidates for the position of head of the State Tax Service or a person to perform those duties. Lesya Karnaukh had been temporarily leading the agency since June 2025.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretskyi announced this on his Telegram channel.
Officials from the State Tax Service appear in video recordings related to the NABU “Carthage” case. Additionally, NABU searches of the leadership of the Ternopil Regional Tax Service may be linked to the “Carthage” case.
