Ukrainian Railways Launches New Electric Train with Wi-Fi and Air Conditioning
Ukrzaliznytsia has launched the completely refurbished EPL2T-002 electric train on the western route. It will serve regional route No. 835/836, which connects Lviv and Uzhhorod.
The train will run through Stryi, Skole, Tukhlya, Slavsko, Volovets, Svalyava, and Mukachevo.
Following the modernization, the cars were equipped with soft seats, air conditioning, power outlets, and USB and Type-C ports. Wi-Fi and a vending machine with drinks and snacks are also available to passengers.
Accessibility has also been addressed: the train is equipped with ramps, spaces for people with disabilities, Braille signage, and changing tables. Separate bike racks have also been provided.
Tickets for the upgraded service are now available through the “Ukrzaliznytsia” mobile app.
