The ARMAADA association stated that the location of the arms exhibition near Kyiv was not public
The “ARMADA” Association of Manufacturers of Unmanned Systems and Related Technologies denied that the exact location of the defense technology forum near Kyiv was publicly available. The association stated that the venue was disclosed only to registered and verified participants after their attendance had been confirmed.
“On July 24, 2026, representatives of the Ukrainian defense industry were affected by a Russian missile strike. Unfortunately, there are fatalities and injuries,” the statement reads.
The association expressed its condolences to the families and loved ones of the deceased and assured them that it would do everything possible to assist the victims.
“The ‘ARMADA’ Association was holding a closed-door event—a practical working demonstration of Ukrainian technologies designed to protect critical infrastructure from modern airborne threats—between participants in the Ukrainian defense industry and potential users,” the statement reads.
According to the association, “in light of the information currently circulating, we consider it important to set the record straight:
The exact location of the event was not publicly available.
The text currently being circulated in the media and on social media as a purported public announcement was an invitation distributed only to specific recipients via private channels. The exact venue was communicated separately to confirmed participants after registration and verification.
Posts about previous similar events appeared only after they had concluded.
Some of these materials are now being used as evidence that information about the venue of today’s event was allegedly available in advance. This is not true.
“This was a practical demonstration, not an exhibition.”
As the association explained, “The focus was on the operation of systems for detecting and intercepting aerial targets, unmanned interceptors, and other anti-drone technologies, as well as electronic warfare (EW), radio-electronic reconnaissance (RER), radar, and other solutions. Testing such systems requires open space and the opportunity for practical application.”
“The association will fully cooperate with the investigation, provide the competent authorities with all available information, and assist in establishing the circumstances under which information about the venue could have become accessible to a cunning and motivated enemy,” — Armada stated.
The association urged people not to share photos or videos from the scene, details about participants, the exact location, or unverified theories regarding the circumstances of the attack.
“Our priority right now is to assist the victims and cooperate with the relevant government agencies,” the association emphasized.
As a reminder, following Russia’s strike on a weapons exhibition near Kyiv, the event’s organizer was detained.
Earlier, it was reported that Russia had attacked a testing ground hosting a defense products exhibition near Kyiv.
Prior to that, Russia had attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles in broad daylight, firing approximately 10 missiles.
