ATB has outlined the consequences of the destruction of a large warehouse in Dnipro
As a result of a massive Russian drone and missile attack on Dnipro and its suburbs on the evening of June 3, one of the largest distribution centers of the ATB retail chain was completely destroyed.
The large multi-temperature logistics facility, covering an area of 37,500 square meters, was hit directly by an enemy drone, triggering a massive fire that over 100 State Emergency Service rescuers fought until nearly noon the following day. The center has now completely ceased operations, said Serhiy Demchenko, head of corporate communications at ATB Corporation, on June 4, 2026.
Specialists and independent experts continue to work at the site of the extensive destruction, conducting a detailed assessment of the extent of damage to the infrastructure and the remaining products inside. According to the company spokesperson, the exact amount of losses is currently being calculated, but it is already clear that the financial losses will amount to hundreds of millions of hryvnias. The destroyed distribution complex performed a key logistics function—it was responsible for the regular supply of food and essential goods to approximately 300 ATB supermarkets located in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions.
Despite the severe destruction of this strategically important logistics hub, company management has assured that this will not lead to a collapse or disruptions in the supply of food to cities. The chain immediately began an emergency reorganization and redistribution of existing logistics chains to other operational distribution centers. Serhiy Demchenko emphasized that the work is being carried out as quickly as possible, so Ukrainian shoppers will not experience a shortage of goods on store shelves. The company cited staff safety as the top priority: because all employees were in a fully equipped shelter during the air raid alert, no one at the warehouse was injured despite a direct hit by a drone.
Demchenko reported this in a comment to Suspilne.
On Wednesday, June 3, Russian troops attacked Dnipro twice. A large-scale fire broke out in the city at the warehouses of the ATB grocery supermarket. Six people were injured as a result of the strikes.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, the number of casualties from the Russian attack has increased. According to updated data, eight people have already been injured. Information regarding the consequences of the enemy strike is being clarified.
