In Kyiv, the warm spell will give way to colder weather and rain
Variable weather is expected in Kyiv in the coming days: it will warm up at first, but by the end of the week temperatures will drop, and rain is possible.
This is according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
According to forecasters, nighttime temperatures will range from +3° to +8°, with no frost expected.
During the day in the Kyiv region, thanks to clear skies, temperatures will rise to +12…+18°. The warmest days will be April 15 and 16—in the capital, temperatures will reach +16…+18°.
However, the weather will change on April 17–18: due to increased cloud cover, temperatures will drop to +11…+13° in Kyiv and to +9…+14° across the region. Along with the cooling, forecasters predict light rain.
Overall, high atmospheric pressure will prevail across Ukraine in the coming days, so significant precipitation is not expected in most regions. At the same time, on April 14, a cyclone will bring rain to the east, and on April 15, its influence will spread to the northeast.
By midweek, precipitation is possible in the west, and by the end of the workweek, light rain will fall in some areas across the entire country. The heaviest precipitation is forecast for the eastern regions, the northeast, and the Carpathians.
Air temperatures in Ukraine will range from +3° to +8° at night and from +10° to +18° during the day. Winds are expected to be moderate, 7–12 m/s, gradually weakening in the second half of the week.
On Tuesday, April 14, variable cloudiness is expected in Ukraine. Rain is possible only in the eastern regions. Frosts are forecast at night, while daytime temperatures will rise to +11…+16°.
Earlier, the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center released a forecast for the second month of spring, according to which temperatures and precipitation will remain within the climatic norm.
