In Odesa, a man shot and killed someone on the street and tried to flee
In Odessa, law enforcement officers discovered the body of a man with gunshot wounds on the roadway. Police also detained the driver, who, according to preliminary reports, had attempted to flee the scene.
The incident occurred on Lyustdorfskaya Road in the Kyivsky District of Odesa.
While on patrol, law enforcement officers noticed a man with gunshot wounds lying on the roadway next to a Chevrolet. According to preliminary police reports, the deceased was likely the driver of that vehicle.
At the scene, police also saw the driver of a ZAZ “Tavria” who was attempting to flee the scene. Law enforcement officers detained him.
Urgent investigative measures are currently being carried out with the detainee.
An investigative team and specialists from the regional police’s forensic laboratory are working at the scene.
Law enforcement officers are examining the scene, collecting physical evidence, and determining all the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
The motives behind the shooting and details of a possible conflict have not yet been disclosed. A procedural decision on the case is expected to be made after the initial investigative actions are completed.
At this time, it has been officially confirmed that a deceased person with gunshot wounds was found and that a man who attempted to flee the scene was detained.
At the same time, his legal status and possible involvement in the man’s death are currently being determined as part of the criminal proceedings. Conclusions regarding the detainee’s guilt can only be drawn after the completion of the relevant investigative and procedural actions.
